James B. Harper, 76, native of Parke County and a resident of Veedersburg for the past year, died Wednesday night at the Robert Long Hospital in Indianapolis where he had been a patient for the past 12 days. Death was due to a heart ailment. Mr. Harper was born Nov 19, 1871 a son of Peter and Katherine Manley Harper. He had been a general contractor most of his life. Three daughters and two sons survive. Mrs. Hazel Lawson of Veedersburg; Mrs. Pearl Beaty of Indianapolis; Mrs. Everett Bryant of Cincinatti, Ohio; Everett Harper of Twin Lakes Mich; and Thomas Harper of Winslow. Funeral services were conducted from the Fishero Funeral Home at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon with burial at Oak Lawn at Montezuma. - kbz

  Veedersburg—James Harper, 78, a native of Parke County, died at the Robert Long Hospital, Indianapolis.
